| 'Old Abe' the Battle Eagle was the mascot of the 8th Wisconsin Infantry during the Civil War. I am writing an article for the March/April '03 issue of the Cigar Label Gazette about 'Old Abe' and the fascinating history that surrounds this American Icon.
